Shakira Sings for Obama

Shakira will be patriotically kicking off the New Year. The Colombiana singer has been invited to perform at the White House for Obama’s Inauguration in January 2009.

The singer has shown support for the Obama campaign since before the elections, so it is no surprise that the President invited her to help jumpstart the party.

Obama said about Shakira: “It’s an honor to recieve so much support from someone that talented and a person that generous”
